The Dagger GT has over-the-top ambitions of becoming the most sinister production car ever built. Only five will be manufactured in 2011 and all but two have been pre-sold. U.S. based TranStar Racing says its design is based on the Corvette Cheetah concept and vows to break every major record, from being the fastest on a straight line to being the quickest around the Nurburgring.

But what credentials does it bring to the fore? For starters, TransStar Racing lists a “who’s who” of U.S. auto industry veterans. From award winning engineers and race car builders to NASA aerodynamicists and the designer of the Saleen S7, the TranStar team reaches into almost every corner.

For hardware, TranStar proposes a 572 multifuel (petrol/methanol/hydrogen/ethanol) twin turbo racing unit from Nelson Racing Engines (builders of the 1800hp Mosler Red Devil) which is capable of spewing out a seemingly insurmountable 1,491 kW (2,000 bhp / 2,028 PS). Peak torque is said to be 2,710Nm (2,000 lb-ft) running through a TranStar/Mendeola 6-speed transmission.

Expected performance figures are equally astounding: 0-60 mph in 1.5 seconds, quarter mile in less than 6.7 seconds and a top speed of over 483 km/h (300mph). The outer body is made from carbon fibre, while a high-strength 4130 Chromoly Steel chassis forms the inner structure.

Three different models can be ordered: a hard-core racer, a street-legal sport version and a soft-riding luxurious GT-X that combines both speed and comfort.

Following the first five contract units, sales will begin during the first half of 2011 for 10 units to be delivered in 2012 and each car is priced at a minimum of US$450,000 (€360,000).

Today BMW officially unveiled their i 3 Concept Sports car. This car was initially known as the Megacity Model but it has been introduced in the Frankfurt Motor Show of the year 2011. This car is scheduled to be available on sale in 2013.

To reduce the body weight and make it the sportiest car in this category, the makers have chosen theses materials CFRP, which according to the researches is 30% lighter than steel. For high performance the model is prepared with special features like, electric motor that is placed on the rear axle and helps in moving the back wheels.
It’s a superior edition of the electric motor commonly uses on the MINI E model and it produces an output of 170-horses (125 kW) and 250 Nm (184 lb.ft) assisting the BMW i3 to pick up the pace from 0 to 60 km/h (37 mph) in less than four seconds and from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in less than eight seconds. The mono-speed fear box helps car to run at 150km/h speed. The car electric motor is supplied with a large lithium-ion battery that can be easily charged in six hours from any domestic power supply.

The Holden Caprice is an automobile which has been produced by Holden in Australia since 1990. The similar Holden Statesman, which was also introduced in 1990, was discontinued in September 2010.

Between 1971 and 1984, Holden marketed their long-wheelbase sedans under the Statesman marque. The Statesman and Caprice are essentially long-wheelbase variants of the Commodore range, and as of 2006, were the largest rear-wheel drive sedans offered by GM. Internationally, Statesmans and Caprices are sold as the Buick Park Avenue, the Chevrolet Caprice and the Daewoo Veritas. Previously, Statesmans have been badged as the Buick Royaum and Daewoo Statesman.

The main difference between the Statesman and the Caprice lies within their equipment packages; Caprices are commonly powered by V8 engines rather than V6s, and whilst they may be thought of as fully specified versions of their cheaper Statesman siblings, the two were separate Holden models by this period.
